Listening to Adam Gnade makes me use lame phrases like “really gets it!” and “makes me feel something for music again.” I was spouting this shit for months after his run, hide, retreat, surrender disc made its way to me last fall. Now his latest EP has me saying it all over again—and I’m serious, the phrases have been used in emails I just referenced in my “Sent” folder. Without gushing all over the place, we can leave it at that for now. Wait, no, I have to say this, too: “We Live Nowhere and Know No One” is one of my favorite songs ever. Okay, done.
