Carolyn AlRoy is a singer-songwriter from New York. She's got a pretty, jaunty voice, but that's about all.The problem with Carolyn AlRoy is that, while she has a nice voice, her album is astoundingly boring. It's not bad, it's actually pretty decent, but it's amazingly boring. I think I've found a new cure for nights when I can't manage to fall asleep. She even manages to make a cover of "Helter Skelter" boring. Her press release says "If Charles Manson had heard this one first, he would have never gotten around to killing anybody," which is true, because Charlie would have been asleep instead of convincing his Family to kill Sharon Tate and the others. I have a feeling that's not what the press release was getting at, but it's true nonetheless. AlRoy is a practicing Psychologist in New York, and she really should stick to her day job. |
