Homewrecker are not as punk as youíd think. These days, every form of loud rock seems to be aiming in the punk rock or emo directions, making the metallic rush of Homewrecker an alternative to the mainstream. (Isnít it bizarre how the sides are switched twenty years later?) Homewrecker arenít asking for much, just enough beer to get fully slammed and a six-pack of pounding power chords. Hailing from Seattle, Homewrecker might be compared to the Donnas, another hard rock act with a female cast. But Homewrecker are far better, showing more grit and musical bang. Itís fairly straightforward stuff and should appeal to those who simply want to bow their heads to the speaker gods. Rock on, ladies.
