Though she sparkled on the outside in her shiny green dress, Joss Stone sparkled from within as well with her uncommon and elaborate vocals. Alternating between sassy and soulful, she’s also blessed with a stunning smile and an honest attitude. Sure, she’s showy when it’s called for, but she’s not affected.
Stone, who just turned twenty years old, released her second disc of original material this year and it is aptly called Introducing Joss Stone. Even though it’s just her second album, it shows development and proof she’s an abiding artist. Its songs were tremendous live and I especially loved her new hit "Tell Me ‘Bout It" and the cheeky "Headturner (If You’re Gonna Watch Me Walk, Then Watch Me Walk-You Gotta Earn It-Feel My Heels As They’re Walking Over You)". From her first CD, "Mind Body & Soul, Right To Be Wrong" was inspiring and "Jet Lag" purely sexy.
The beauty of this woman will bring you to happy tears. She shares her emotions and I list her in a small group of artists I categorize as loveable as cats. And I love cats.
