December 5, 2005 – Neumos – Seattle, WA

Despite numerous scene gothic kids dressed up as fairies and well, stereotypical goth kids, Rasputina’s trek through Seattle went along perfectly, as the band cello-ed their way through tracks like the crowd-stomping "State Fair" and the more melancholy "Gingerbread Coffin." Singer Melora Crager has an undeniably raspy and ethereal voice which could explain the massive amount of females in the audience who worshiped her every move.
Surprisingly enough, and perhaps a bit disappointingly, the stage didn’t resemble too much of the Victorian era, which the members of Rasputina are known to love.
The crowd really got into Rasputina’s melodies regardless, the cellos echoing through the hallow walls of Neumos. Anyone who loves Rasputina, or is even just a casual listener of their music should definitely catch them live.
