Rebecca Nurse is a female fronted quartet from the northeast. They have opened for bands like the Misfits and Days of the New. Tracy Garrity, the lead singer, has a great voice. It might be a cliché, but it reminds me of Gwen Stefani, but in the Tragic Kingdom era as opposed to her current endeavors. The CD is full of nice harmonies and melodies with the male vocalist, Shawn Garrity, but his voice isn‘t nearly as strong and in a way brings down some of the songs. The lyrics leave a bit to be desired, but they’re catchy. This would be a good album to listen to while driving—very poppy and fun, but not brainless.
