TILLY AND THE WALL! IN SEATTLE! FOR THE FIRST TIME IN AWHILE! WITH NEW SONGS OFF OF THEIR FANTASTIC NEW ALBUM, BOTTOMS OF BARRELS! HOLY CRAP!
A few months ago when I was trying to plan what I wanted to see this summer for concerts, Iíd picked out Tilly and the Wall as one of my top picks. Logistically I canít make the show, and Iím bummed. Tillyís new album is really fantastic. Itís characteristic Tilly, and itís fucking perfect. I saw the crew perform at Neumoís nearly a couple of years ago at this point and it was a thrilling display of musical camaraderie and love. A bunch of folks who love what they do and love sharing it with their crowds--what a novel idea. They are just great, and you should see it for yourself.
And! Kimya Dawson is going to be there! Kimyaís new disc Remember That I Love You just came out on K Records in May and is a complete delight. Plus, sheís super pregnant and cute right now! She plays first of four acts, so get there on time, goshdarnit!
And Now Itís Overhead is playing too!
(Alright, I was jealous when Katie got to go to Be Your Own Pet and Whirlwind Heat, but now Iím just flat out PISSED. This moving business is pretty close to totally shitty.)
